with 2 comments

I have discovered that Don Quijote has stuffed cabbage rolls in their deli / okazu ya on tuesdays….I’m so there man! Long live the stuffed cabbage!

But you may ask what is “stuffed cabbage” stuffed with? good question my insatiable friend. to answer that question I went to the best source for information on the internet…

Wikiedia describes the innards of stuffed cabbage or cabbage roll as including “… meat, often beef or pork, seasoned with onion, tomato paste, salt, black pepper, and spices. Other fillings vary and may include mushrooms, vegetables, sauerkraut, rice, or barley.” You’d also be happy to know that Cabbage rolls are part of the traditional cuisine of many Central European, Eastern European, and Balkan countries. They are known as holubki in both Czech and Slovakian languages. And now you know! See blogs can be informative and entertaining at the same time!

Vanage

without comments

“Here in my van, I can eat my small squid, Dance the can-can With my feet in the air…” – Descendents.

The quote above is from one of my favorite bands of all time the Descendents.  The song is simply titled “Van”.  I bring it up because in a few hours I will be the proud new owner of a van.  As a good friend of mine would say “Snakes in a motherf!@#in’ van!”

Ok, really the van has seen a lot of shit.  The roof is rusting over the side door and one of the rear doors, the side door is tricky to get into which seems to me it’s more like a security feature than a door that’s needs fixing, and the passenger door can’t be opened from the inside.  That’s all that’s really wrong with it so for the price I paid it’s not a bad deal.

So now I’m thinking about how to trick it out.  Maybe I could install a waterbed and some purple shag carpet, disco ball, sweet stereo system with a working 8-track(just in case they bring that back), and the best of all, hydraulics!  yeah, Baby!

Pics coming soon….
